These wrist
warmers will keep you cozy on those days when you need to knit and gloves
or mittens just won't work. 2 versions so you can use whatever is in your
stash.
Bulky Weight
Yarn:
size 10 circular
needle(or dpns)
Cast on 26
stitches and join.
K1 P1 rib
for 6 rows
Beg of next
round bind off 6 stitches, then turn work and cast back on same amount.
Work in rib
until cuff measures 7 1/2"-9".
Make 2.
Worsted Weight
Yarn:
size 8 circular
needle(or dpns)
Cast on 34
stitches
work 12 rows
in K1 P1 rib
Next row bind
off 10 stitches
turn work
and cast back on.
work until
piece measures 7 1/2"-9"

Simpler version:
Knit these
pieces flat without any casting off. Make sure you make both wrists at
the same time. When you sew the side seam, leave approx. 3 inches unsewn
near one end for your thumb.
Striping-
with worsted weight, a stripe looks great! Try a varying stripe, 6 rows
main color, 2 of contrast color. Finish with main color. |
